Being part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and even more significantly, as a member of humanity, my heart resonates with all commemorations of civil rights. Pride fundamentally represents a civil rights endeavor. Those within the LGBTQIA+ community have confronted discrimination head-on across societal and governmental realms. I hold deep appreciation for those who have, or are currently, championing the cause of their fellow humans through their battles.
